It’s a song written from the perspective of a future ancestor. To soothe my inner child, and for the children in my future bloodline. The song is written to give them confidence, and instil a sense of their own magnificence. I deeply understand how it feels to not belong anywhere, and how lonely that experience is. And this song is my way of comforting my inner spirit on their journey. I wanted to invoke a sense of dreamtime with the instrumentation. It’s also an ode to First Nations people and appreciation for their bodies, survival and heritage
